Hezhou University is a public, full-time and multi-discipline university authorized by the Ministry of Education, P.R.C. Founded in 1943, it is located in Hezhou city in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at the intersection of Hunan province, Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Hezhou city has a long history, and has a mild climate and beautiful scenery. It also enjoys a convenient transportation. The high-speed railway links Hezhou to Guangzhou, Guilin, Nanning, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing. From Hezhou, it takes 1 hour to get to Guilin, 1.5 hours to get to Guangzhou, about 2.5 hours to get to Shenzhen, and 3.5 hours to get to Nanning.
With its east and west campuses, Hezhou University covers a surface of 247 acres, among which 360,000 square meters are built areas. The beautiful campuses are adorned with a variety of old trees and covered with grass. The library houses 983,600 books.
The university has a faculty of 864 dedicated and high quality educators, of whom 551 are professional teachers, 201 are professors and associate professors, 426 are doctoral degree and master degree holders and 2 are foreign teachers.
